Dielectric properties :

  • The VISARC helmet shell is Class 2 rated in accordance with standard EN 50365:2023 and tested up to 30kV

Arc-Flash Protection : Several versions of the helmet with integrated face shield are available :

  • APC1 (no Arc Rating)
  • APC2 – ATPV 12 cal/cm²
  • APC2 – ATPV 25 cal/cm²

Based on the risk assessment carried out by the end-user.

No, the same protection level as initially certified and subsequently marketed by PENTA must be maintained. Furthermore, any modifications made to a third Category PPE may invalidate its certification, if not provided for during certification by a notified body.

Yes, it is resistant to impact and penetration in accordance with standard EN 397:2025.

Yes, the face shield is anti-fog on the inside and scratch-resistant on the outside.

There are several height adjustment points, in addition to the Push & Pull system adjustment, to suit different head shapes. See the tutorial available on the PENTA website.

For the helmet : lukewarm soapy water, dried at room temperature, or a soft wipe. For dust on the face shield : use the microfibre wipe supplied with the helmet. Otherwise, lukewarm water without soap. For both the helmet and face shield : no products containing solvents. See full details in the user manual supplied with the helmet or on the PENTA website.

Key points to check :

  • No cracks, scratches, splits, or damage
  • Any helmet that has been subjected to a significant impact must be replaced
  • Full lowering of the face shield
  • Correct clipping of the face shield onto the frame 

Expiry dates :

  • Storage : Up to 3 years from the date of manufacture
  • In use : Up to 5 years from the date of first use

This applies only if the pre-use inspection has been passed successfully.

For the APC1 version, a rigid lateral and chin guard (beard) can be attached to the universal slots on the helmet. A FR fabric lateral protection is also available. A full range of integrated head lamps with additional functions is also available.

Yes, all our accessories and headlamps are certified in accordance with the latest applicable standards. All accessories have passed testing to the following standards : EN 397:2025, EN 50365:2023, EN ISO 16321-1:2022 and EN IEC 62819:2023

It is important to distinguish between the standards applicable to helmets, face shield, and the combined assembly (helmet + face shield).

  • For helmets : EN 397:2025, EN 50365:2023
  • For face shield: EN ISO 16321-1:2022
  • For the assembly (helmet + face shield) : EN IEC 62819:2023

Yes, it is perfectly possible to use several accessories at the same time. However, not all accessories are compatible with one another. If you are using the rigid lateral protection or the fabric version, ear defenders cannot be used. In this case, the solution is to use earplugs instead.

Integrated electronic modules are headlamp built into the VISARC helmet, with a dedicated mounting location provided for this purpose. A full range is available :

  • VEA-1-BK-- : One part headlamp with integrated battery – with central black crest
  • VEA-2-BK-- : Headlamp with rear battery pack – with black crest
  • VEA-3-L*-BK-- : Headlamp with rear battery pack and personal voltage alarm – with black crest. L* : Reference to be completed with the sensitivity level of the personal voltage alarm (voltage range) available (L1 to L5).

Yes, all available accessories are compatible with simultaneous use of the headlamps module.

No, accessories are not automatically supplied with the helmet. Each accessory must be ordered separately as an additional line item. 

Yes, but only for the version fitted with the APC1 face shield.

Yes, the helmet has been designed to be fully modular. It is also possible to replace the black crest with a coloured crest to identify teams on a shared site (for example, to distinguish the work supervisor from the lockout tagout supervisor). This allows only the helmet's crest to be changed according to the operator's role, in addition to the accessories mentioned above.

In addition to the coloured crests, we offer a logo personalisation service using high quality adhesive labels certified to the same standard as the helmet. PENTA Electrical Safety Products can apply the label to the crest, or you can apply it yourself.

For an order including a coloured crest, the helmet will be shipped assembled with the black crest as standard. The coloured crest will be included separately within the helmet's packaging.

Using the label supplied with each single helmet, to be affixed by the user at the time of commissioning or first use.

The VISARC helmet is delivered in individual cardboard packaging, together with a microfibre wipe and a protective carry bag.
